The Essential Woman app is a space for women, built by a woman.

 

Here is what that means in practice.

Every woman is selfie-verified. Before anyone can connect, she takes a live selfie that is checked against her profile photo. No catfishing, no fake accounts.

Block and report on every profile.

 

If someone makes you uncomfortable, you can block her in two taps. She disappears from your world, and you from hers. Every report is reviewed by a real person, and we act quickly.

Zero tolerance for abuse.

 

Unkindness, harassment or hate has no place here.

Our automatic checks catch harmful messages instantly, and accounts that break our values are paused or removed.

Post anonymously when you need to.

 

Some things are easier to say without your name on them. Anonymous posts let you ask the tender questions in a space that understands.

We only ever show your city. Never your street, never your exact location. Your children's details are never on your profile card.

Your messages are yours.

 

We never read your private messages. If you choose to share usage statistics, we only count which features are used, never what you say.

Meeting in person

• Meet somewhere public for the first time: a cafe, a park, or one of our events.

• Tell a friend or partner where you are going and who you are meeting.

• Keep the first meet short. A coffee is perfect.

• Trust your gut. If something feels off, you can leave, block and report, no explanation needed.
