Essential Woman - Child Safety Standards

 

Essential Woman is an adults-only (18+) community app for mums. We have a zero-tolerance approach to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

Prohibited:

 

Any content, conduct, or communication that sexualises, exploits, endangers, or abuses children including CSAM, grooming, and solicitation of minors. Essential Woman is for adults only; any account found to belong to someone under 18, or used to harm a child, is removed.

Reporting a concern: Every member can report any post, profile, or message, or block a user, directly in the app. Anyone can also email info@essentialwoman.co.uk to raise a child-safety concern. We review every report.

Our response: We review reports promptly, remove violating content, and suspend or permanently ban the accounts responsible.

​

Reporting to authorities: We report apparent CSAM and child exploitation to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, in the UK, the National Crime Agency (NCA-CEOP) and the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), in line with applicable law.

Compliance:

 

We comply with applicable child-safety laws in the regions where Essential Woman is available and keep these standards under review.
